2025 Haibao and Haibao 07 DM-i by BYD officially announced
BYD 07DM-i were officially launched. The two new cars are equipped with BYD’s latest e-platform 3.0Evo technology and the fifth-generation DM hybrid technology respectively, and the product configuration has also been further updated and upgraded.

In terms of appearance, the 2025 Haima retains the classic elements of the existing models as a whole and continues to use the iconic simple design of the closed front grille. The E-shaped headlights on both sides, combined with the unique daytime running lights, enhance the vehicle’s recognition. The grille of the new car is decorated with exquisite horizontal lines, which increases the visual layering and three-dimensional sense. It is worth mentioning that the new car adds a new sky-purple exterior color.
On the side of the car, the new car adopts the popular fastback style, and the smooth body lines make the overall appearance more compact and rounded. This shape not only optimizes the aerodynamic performance but also enhances the dynamic visual effect of the vehicle.
At the rear, the new car adopts a through-type taillight group design, which is highly recognizable when driving at night. The taillights on both sides adopt an innovative water drop shape, combined with a transparent lamp shell, which not only improves the lighting effect and ensures driving safety, but also adds a unique sense of fashion to the vehicle.
In terms of size, the new car has a length, width, and height of 4800/1875/1460mm and a wheelbase of 2920mm, providing passengers with spacious and comfortable riding space.
In terms of interior, the 2025 Haibao has launched a new Sardin Orange interior color, which is more trendy and avant-garde. The interior design adopts the latest family design style. This design concept runs through the center console, air-conditioning vents, central armrests, and other details, creating a simple and stylish interior environment.
In addition, the new car will be equipped with a series of luxurious and comfortable configurations such as a panoramic skylight electric sunshade, heated steering wheel, and car fragrance to further improve the comfort of the vehicle.
In terms of performance and power, the 2025 Haibao Automobile is built based on BYD’s e-platform 3.0 Evo technology, equipped with SiC silicon carbide, an 800V high-voltage platform, and a twelve-in-one electric powertrain.
In terms of intelligence, the 2025 Haibao becomes the first sedan of the BYD brand equipped with laser radar. It is also equipped with the “Eye of God” high-end intelligent driving assistance system 300, reaching the L2+ level of driving assistance, which will greatly enhance the vehicle’s perception and safety in complex traffic environments.
In terms of handling experience, the new car has undergone careful upgrades and optimizations in chassis tuning and is equipped with the Yunnian-C intelligent damping body control system, which will greatly improve the vehicle’s adaptability, stability, comfort, and handling under different road conditions.

As a new member of BYD’s Seal family, the Seal 07 DM-i is a renamed version of the current Seal DM-i. The two are identical in appearance and size, but the power system has undergone significant adjustments and upgrades. The biggest change is that the Seal 07 DM-i will be equipped with the fifth-generation DM hybrid system, providing two powertrains: 1.5L naturally aspirated and 1.5T turbocharged, with outstanding performance in terms of energy consumption and power.
In terms of appearance, the Seal 07 DM-i retains the design style of the Seal family, including the large-size horizontal grille, air guide grooves, and E-shaped headlights. The engine cover is raised on both sides and concave at the bottom, with a layered shape. The new car uses the currently popular hidden door handles, and the whole series is equipped with a panoramic sunroof as standard.
The new car adopts a through-type taillight design, and the chrome trim runs through the entire taillight, which improves the recognition of the whole car. The rear of the car adopts BYD’s new LOGO, which is updated to “Seal 07” and the English logo “Build your dream” is removed.
The Haibao 07 DM-i is positioned as a mid-size sedan. Its body size has not changed compared with the current Haibao DM-i. The length, width, and height are 4980/1890/1495mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2900mm.
The entire series of Haibao 07DM-i will be equipped with the DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system as standard, which has multiple L2 level assisted driving functions such as ACC adaptive cruise control, AEB automatic emergency braking, ELKA emergency lane keeping assist, etc. The high-end models also have new advanced intelligent driving functions such as ILCA lever lane change.
The power system is the biggest highlight of the new car. The Haibao 07 DM-i will introduce the fifth-generation DM hybrid system, providing two engine options: 1.5L naturally aspirated and 1.5T turbocharged, with a maximum power of 74 kW and 115 kW respectively. In terms of motors, the 1.5L engine is matched with a drive motor with a maximum power of 160 kW, while the 1.5T engine is matched with a drive motor with a maximum power of 200 kW. Compared with the current model, the engine power of the entry-level model has been reduced, while the power of the 1.5T model has been increased, and the motor power has been improved across the board.
