Bentley officially announced the Continental GT Speed launch on August
The Bentley Continental GT Speed will be launched in August, with a current booking price of USD 462,964 (approximately). The new car adopts a brand-new exterior and interior design and is equipped with a brand-new V8 plug-in hybrid power system, with a total power of up to 782 horsepower.
In terms of appearance, the front of the car retains the iconic mesh grille, but with the upgrade of the intelligent driving system, the grille has added an opening for the radar component. The new car uses a newly designed headlight group. A horizontal banner design extends from the elliptical shape and is embedded in the light group as an LED daytime running light group. It is the most recognizable element of the front face and has a very unique shape. The front surround of the new car adopts a three-point design. The middle reminder heat dissipation opening frame forms an outward eight style. The triangular ventilation openings on both sides are matched with a small-sized front lip spoiler, which further enhances the sporty attributes of the new car.
From the side of the body, the design style is the same as the current model, retaining the stretched lines from the front to the rear, and the front and rear fenders are wider than the body to form a wide-body style. At the same time, the ribs under the doors and the thick 22-inch wheels further highlight the muscularity of the vehicle.
At the rear, the new car has a more layered feel, and the overall design is closer to the Bacalar. The flat taillights and the rear surround with a stronger sense of layering have a good sense of design. The car has canceled the independent license plate frame of the previous generation model, expanding the horizontal visual sense. The exhaust has also been replaced with a flat double-outlet style. It is worth mentioning that the trunk lid fully considers the aerodynamic design, so there is no need to install an additional spoiler.
In terms of interior, the new car uses a full LCD instrument panel and a newly designed three-spoke multi-function steering wheel. The center console is decorated with a large area of carbon fiber panels and embedded with a central control multimedia display that can be reversed on three sides. In addition, the new car provides a new dark interior and has upgraded seats. The front seats support a 20-way electric adjustment.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a brand-new 4.0T twin-turbocharged V8 engine and an electric motor to form a plug-in hybrid system. The total power can reach 782 horsepower and the maximum torque is 1000 Nm. The transmission system is matched with an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a ternary lithium battery pack. Its pure electric range is 80 kilometers, and the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is only 3.2 seconds, and the convertible version is 3.3 seconds. The maximum speed can reach 335 km/h.
