BMW officially released the new BMW M5 M

BMW officially released the new BMW M5 M Performance Parts (MPP) high-performance kit. Based on the current M Carbon kit, the MPP kit uses more carbon fiber trims. According to previous reports, the new generation of BMW M5 is expected to start pre-sale at the 2024 Chengdu International Auto Show, which will open on August 30 this year.

The main upgrade of the front face is that the lower surround adopts a new style of carbon fiber front shovel, showing a strong sense of sportiness. At the same time, wind blade components are added on both sides to optimize the airflow performance of the body. This is the first time that BMW has adopted a segmented front shovel design, which shows its innovation and breakthrough in design.

From the side, the addition of black stripes and carbon fiber side skirts adds a touch of fashion to the whole car. At the same time, the new car provides a new wheel design. The rear part is also upgraded for the lower surround, the lower diffuser is upgraded to carbon fiber material, and the four exhausts on both sides are also upgraded to titanium alloy and carbon fiber composite material.

In terms of power, the new BMW M5 will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine and an electric motor. The combined maximum output power is 535 kilowatts, the peak torque is 1,000 Nm, the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.5 seconds, the WLTP pure electric range is 67-69 kilometers, and the transmission system is matched with an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission.
