Changan 5th-generation CS75 PLUS

Changan Automobile announced that its fourth-generation Changan CS75 PLUS has officially rolled off the production line. The exterior and interior design of the new car have been completely revamped, the body size has been further increased, and a triple-screen layout has been adopted. It is reported that the fourth-generation Changan CS75 PLUS will be available for sale in the fourth quarter of this year. For reference, the current Changan CS75 PLUS.

Official photos and real car photos of Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS have been exposed one after another, so there are not many secrets in the design. It can be seen that the front face of Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS adopts a new design concept, equipped with a frameless air intake grille, and the internal structure arrangement presents a “V”-shaped visual effect. On this basis, Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS is equipped with a new through-type headlight group, and multiple horizontal LED light strips are integrated with the lamp cavity on the left and right sides, which are highly recognizable after lighting.

From the side, the roof line of Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS has a slightly downward trend, which makes the body posture not appear too dignified and stable, and at the same time does not overly compress the headroom of rear passengers and the loading capacity of the trunk. In addition, Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS will apply a hidden door handle design, and the brand logo located in the middle of the taillight group also has a luminous effect.

The length, width, and height of Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS are 4770/1910/1705 (1695) mm, and the wheelbase is 2800 mm. Except for the height, the rest of the dimensions are larger than Changan’s third-generation CS75 PLUS, but the compact SUV positioning should not change. In comparison, the length, width, and height of Changan’s third-generation CS75 PLUS on sale are 4710/1865/1710 mm, and the wheelbase is 2710 mm.

In terms of interior, the instrument panel of Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS has been completely reconstructed, simplifying a large number of physical buttons. The instrument screen, central control screen, and co-pilot entertainment screen adopt a triple screen form, and the overall combination is quite simple and technological. In addition, Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS is equipped with a newly designed D-shaped two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and the central channel function area is equipped with an open double cup holder and a wireless charging panel.

Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS has updated interior materials, with new patterns and perforations on the front seats, and seat heating/ventilation functions. In addition, Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS will also provide co-pilot zero-gravity seats, ambient lighting and other functional configurations, but whether they are standard for the entire series remains to be confirmed.

In terms of power, the declared information shows that Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS can be equipped with two models of 1.5T turbocharged engines, with a maximum power of 138 kilowatts and 141 kilowatts respectively. However, it is unlikely that the two 1.5T power versions will be launched on the market at the same time. The final power data is subject to the official announcement.

As the “pillar” of the Changan Automobile brand, Changan CS75 PLUS not only competes with independent compact SUVs such as Haval H6 and Geely Boyue L but also with joint venture SUVs of the same level such as Toyota Land Cruiser and Nissan Qashqai. According to public data, the sales volume of Changan CS75 PLUS in the domestic market in July this year was 11,772 units. As for whether Changan’s fourth-generation CS75 PLUS can further consolidate the family’s market position, the author will continue to pay attention.
