SAIC Volkswagen Tiguan XR will be unveiled on August

SAIC Volkswagen Tiguan XR will be officially unveiled in August. As a new model, Tiguan XR adopts the same new family design language as Tiguan L Pro. The body size is smaller than the current Tiguan, and it provides a 1.5T engine and a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine. According to previous news, the new car will be officially launched at the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show, and the starting price is expected to be lower.
In terms of appearance, the Tuyue XR incorporates new family design elements. The front face is equipped with LED headlights with lenses and a through-type LED light strip in the middle, which looks very technological. It also uses bright blue paint, and the lower surround adopts a double chrome-plated horizontal spoke design, which further enhances the overall visual effect.

According to the previously declared information, the length, width, and height of the Tuyue XR are 4355/1762/1605 mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2651 mm. The overall size is smaller than the Tuyue model on sale. For reference, the length, width, and height of the Tuyue on sale are 4458/1841/1632 mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2680 mm.

The rear part adopts a through-type taillight group design, which is smoked black, and the silver trim on the lower surround greatly enhances the layering of the rear part. At the same time, the new car adopts a hidden exhaust layout.

In terms of power, the new car will offer two options: a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and a 1.5T engine. Among them, the maximum power of the 1.5T engine is 118 kilowatts; the maximum power of the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine is 81 kilowatts.
