The official pictures of the new Chery Tiggo 8 PLUS

Chery recently released the official pictures of the 2025 Chery Tiggo 8 PLUS. The new car is expected to be a mid-term facelift model. The appearance and front and rear lights have been redesigned. The body size has become longer and shorter than the previous generation, and hidden door handles are used on the side. It is reported that the new car will be officially launched this year.

In terms of appearance, the front face has changed a lot. The grille has been changed from the original hard-line polygon to a smooth rounded rectangle. The grille’s interior still uses the dot matrix design, which looks very three-dimensional. The headlight group adopts a split design, the daytime running lights adopt a broken effect, the lower light group is connected by a black trim and the grille, and the front hood is designed with multiple raised ribs, which have a strong muscular feel.

From the side, the roof has a distinct curvature and is equipped with a sturdy luggage rack, which brings a strong sense of power; the waistline adopts a segmented design, which embellishes the layering of the side of the body; the door handles adopt a hidden design, which not only reduces wind resistance but also improves the smoothness of the body lines.

The rear part adopts the popular through-type taillight design, and the roof is equipped with a relatively large spoiler and high-mounted brake lights. In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width, and height of 4730/1860/1740mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2710mm.

Regarding power, the new car is consistent with the current model and still offers 1.6T and 2.0T options. The maximum power of the 1.6T engine is 145 kilowatts, and the maximum power of the 2.0T engine is 187 kilowatts. In terms of transmission, it continues to be matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox.
